Paris Saint-Germain easily qualifies for the 1/4-finals in the French Cup, after defeating second-division Le Mans 4-1. Pablo Sarabia, Eric Maxim Chupo-Moting and Cillian Mbappe all decided before the break, and after that Angel Di Maria signed. The only goal for the home side was Harrison Manzala. In the beginning Le Mans goal was canceled for an ambush, and PSG took the lead in the 21st minute when Sarabia controlled the ball after a pass to Di Maria and sent it into the net. At the end of the half Parisians scored two quick goals. First, Mbappe assisted on Chupo-Moting, and just a minute later, Marco Verratti superbly brought out Mbappe himself, for whom it was easier.
In the 48th minute a mistake by the home keeper Pierre Patron allowed Di Maria to score the fourth goal for PSG. However, Le Mans fans also saw the goal of their pets. Its author became Manzala in the 54th minute.
The other semifinals today were much more equal. Amiens eliminated Rehn after a 3-2 success. The winning goal put Tom Moncoddy in the extra time. Strasbourg won 1-0 over Nantes and St Etienne won 2:1 Nimes. Brest also qualify for the quarterfinals after beating Bordeaux - 2:0.
